Abstract

On my last day of class (5pm-7pm, May 13), I'm having four Jeopardy champions take on the question answering systems the students in my class (CMSC470) put together for their final projects:

Roger Craig (whose 1-day total record was recently surpassed by Holzhauer):

Monica Thieu (on second place All-Star Tournament team):

Aaron Lichtig:

But these aren't just your run of the mill trivia contestants.  Roger built a clustering algorithm and space repetition model to study, and Monica is a cognitive science PhD student.  After the game, we'll have a wide-ranging discussion about research, trivia, language, and human understanding.

Please join us at 5pm in the Antonov auditorium!
