Weijia Xu is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her research interests are in natural language processing and machine learning, with an emphasis on improving machine translation for low-resource languages. She also works on controlled text generation and multilingual NLP. She is the recipient of several awards including the Dean’s Fellowship at the University of Maryland and the Rising Stars Award at Microsoft Research.
