Abstract

Loops allow computer programs to repeat a set of instructions multiple times. In Java, there are three fundamental types of loops (while, do-while and for). In this talk all three types are introduced, examples are provided for each type of loop, and some common pitfalls are examined.

Bio

Sandro Fouche obtained his Ph.D from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2010. Since 2010, Sandro has been an Assistant Professor at Towson University teaching courses in Software Engineering, System Administration, and Reverse Engineering. Sandro has previously spent 10 years in the computer industry working at corporations including: America Online and the Washington Post. He is also interested in desktop digital fabrication and the intersection of makerspaces and education.
