Multi-Party Signatures for Discrete-Log Based Cryptosystems
Abstract
The complexity of extending single-party signature schemes to a multi-party setting is directly dependent on the complexity of the signature scheme itself. In this talk, we will look at several single-party signature schemes that are in use today, and threshold variants of these schemes. In particular, we will look at ECDSA and EdDSA signatures, and their corresponding threshold variants. We will also discuss attacks that become viable only in the threshold setting, and their mitigations.
