Yang (Trista) Cao is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a member of the CLIP lab advised by Hal Daumé III. Trista's research interests are human-centered NLP systems, fairness and bias, human-machine collaboration, explainable and interpretable AI, and trust and reliance. In general, she hopes to build systems towards reliable, enjoyable, and productive human-machine collaboration.
