Abstract

We discuss some recent results in approximation and optimization problems in quantum information science such as approximating quantum states and quantum channels with special structures, and finding quantum states and quantum channels with certain extremal properties.

*We strongly encourage attendees to use their full name (and if possible, their UMD credentials) to join the zoom session.*
