Abstract

RQS Career Connections

Dr. Joe Iosue is currently a Senior Researcher at Microsoft Quantum working on quantum error correction. He did his bachelor's in physics at MIT, worked for 1.5 years at a quantum startup, then did his PhD at UMD supervised by Alexey Gorshkov and Victor Albert studying quantum information theory, error correction, and learning theory, often with a heavy emphasis on bosons. After finishing his PhD, he worked at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory for a 1/2 year before joining Microsoft.

Lunch will be served.

*We strongly encourage attendees to use their full name (and if possible, their UMD credentials) to join the zoom session.*

This talk is organized by Andrea F. Svejda
